Welcome to the COAERS Retiree Art Contest! We are delighted to invite our retiree members to showcase their artistic talents in this exciting event. Whether you are a seasoned artist or a hobbyist, we encourage you to participate and share your creativity with the COAERS community.

Contest Details

Eligibility:

• The contest is open exclusively to retired members of COAERS.

Submission Requirements:

• All submissions must be original works of art created by the participant.
• Artwork must be on canvas and should not exceed 24 inches by 36 inches in size.
• Accepted mediums include:
  • Paintings: oil, acrylics, watercolor, etc.
  • Drawings: pastels, colored pencil, pencil, charcoal, ink, markers
  • Prints: lithographs, silkscreen, block prints
  • Mixed Media: use of more than two mediums such as pencil, ink, etc.
  • Photography

Entry Limit:

• Each participant is allowed to submit only one piece of artwork.

Disqualification:

• Any artwork that does not comply with the size requirement or is not the original work of the participant will be disqualified.

Rights and Usage:

• By entering the contest, participants agree to allow COAERS to use images of their artwork for promotional purposes, including but not limited to online and print publications.
   

Important Dates

• Digital Submission of Entry Deadline: December 2
• Physical Submission of Entry Deadline: December 13
   

Judging Criteria

Our esteemed judging panel will evaluate entries based on the following criteria:

• Creativity and originality
• Artistic technique and skill
• Overall impression and impact
   

Prizes and Exhibition

• Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries.
• All entries will be displayed at the COAERS building, allowing everyone to appreciate the artistic contributions of our retiree members.
   

How to Participate

1. Prepare Your Artwork:
   • Ensure your canvas artwork does not exceed 24 inches by 36 inches.
2. Submit Your Entry:
   • Take a high-quality photograph of your artwork.
   • Email the photograph along with your name, title of the work, and a brief description of your artwork to news@coaers.com. Please include "Art Contest Submission" in the subject line.
3. Physical Submission:
   • All entries must be physically submitted by December 13. Detailed instructions for physical submission will be provided upon receiving your digital entry.
4. Confirmation:
   • You will receive an email confirmation once your submission has been received.
