AUSTIN, TX - The City of Austin Employees' Retirement System (COAERS) is pleased to announce that Mr. David Stafford has been named as Interim Chief Investment Officer of the retirement system. The announcement follows the news of Mr. David Veal’s departure, who served as COAERS’ CIO since 2016.
Mr. Stafford joined the COAERS investment team as Portfolio Manager in June 2018 and most recently served as the Director of Investment Strategy. Prior to joining COAERS, Mr. Stafford worked as a financial advisor in Austin, has a background in multi-asset portfolio construction, and over a decade of experience in investment and financial services.
At this time, COAERS remains focused on Mr. Stafford’s transition as Interim CIO will have more to share about future plans for the role.
