April is Financial Literacy Month, and COAERS is hosting a Financial Wellness Forum designed to help City employees strengthen their financial confidence and plan for the future.

This event will bring together COAERS experts and trusted community partners to provide practical guidance, helpful tools, and resources that support financial wellbeing across all stages of life.

Whether you are early in your career, balancing family responsibilities, or thinking ahead to retirement, this forum offers valuable information to help you navigate everyday financial decisions and long-term planning.

Who Should Attend

This forum is open to City employees at all career stages who are interested in building stronger financial knowledge and learning about resources available to support their financial goals.

The forum will consist of a series of sessions presented by experts from COAERS, Foundation Communities, and Empower Retirement. The sessions are designed to provide insights into various aspects of financial and retirement planning.

• 11:40 am - Navigating Aging, Caregiving, and Community Resources, presented by Area Agency on Aging
• 12:10 pm - Understanding Long-Term Care, presented by Michael Gill
• 12:40 pm - Protecting Your Financial Life in a Digital World, presented by AARP

Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with organizations providing information and support related to financial wellness, aging services, education, and community resources.

1. COAERS Visitor Parking Garage
   • Location: 1401 Philomena St.  (3rd floor parking level and above)
   • Park on the 3rd floor of the parking garage (P3) and above.
   • Enter via Garcia St or Philomena St
   • Avoid parking in spots marked reserved
2. Austin Energy HQ Visitor Parking Garage
   • located on the 1st floor of the parking garage (G1).
   • Enter via Garcia St or Philomena St

If the parking garage is full, street parking is available in the area.
