2022 COAERS Member Meeting

On Thursday, July 21, join the City of Austin Employees’ Retirement System for its annual Member Meeting! The 2022 Member Meeting will be held in-person at the Austin Central Library. 
 

EVENT INFORMATION

2021 COAERS MEMBER MEETING (an in-person event)
Thursday, July 21, 2022
5:30 pm – 7 pm
Austin Central Library Special Event Center (1st Floor)

The annual event is an opportunity for all COAERS members to learn about important System updates. During the event, members will hear from the System’s Board of Trustees, the Management Team, and City of Austin representatives about:

  • COAERS business operations
  • The investment program
  • The financial state of the retirement system
  • Legislative initiatives for the Plan’s long-term sustainability

 

FACEBOOK LIVE BROADCAST
Members who cannot attend in person and wish to participate virtually, the event will also be broadcast live on the COAERS Facebook page at www.facebook.com/coaers

 

EVENT PARKING
The Austin Central Library has very limited parking available onsite. COAERS will validate parking from the library’s parking garage for retired members. 

Overflow parking is available at City Hall and Trader Joe’s, but cannot be validated from those garages. Active members may park for free nearby at City Hall.

COVID-19 RISK-BASED GUIDELINES

As of Wednesday, July 13, Austin-Travis County's COVID-19 Community Level is currently medium.

Members who plan to attend the event in person, we highly encourage you to adhere to the following recommendations:

Recommendations for people who are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines

  • Low: Masking optional when gathering, dining and shopping.  
  • Medium: Masking optional when gathering, dining and shopping. Mask when social distancing is not possible.  
  • High: Indoor masking regardless of vaccination/risk status when gathering, dining and shopping.  

Recommendations for people who are at risk  
Get up to date with your vaccines as soon as possible.

  • Low: Masking optional when gathering, dining and shopping.  
  • Medium: Indoor masking when gathering, dining and shopping. 
  • High: Indoor masking regardless of vaccination/risk status when gathering, dining and shopping.

At all levels wearing a well-fitting mask, and practicing social distancing are supported by APH as additional layers of protection to prevent the spread of COVID-19. People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should refrain from attending the event in person.

Members will also have the opportunity to ask the Board and Staff questions during a Q&A session. In order to facilitate an informative and comprehensive discussion, members should submit their questions for the event panelists in advance of the meeting. Question submissions are now closed.
